The Clara Haskil Competition is held in Vevey, at the Théâtre Le Reflet, and bears the name of the Romanian pianist who lived on the town’s quays from 1942 until her death. It rewards neither speed nor display, but a way of playing: the one associated with Clara Haskil, made of clarity and humility before the score. The 32nd edition runs from 26 August to 3 September 2027. A silhouette recalls the pianist on the Quai Perdonnet, a few minutes from the theatre.
