Behind Montreux station, in a former cardboard factory, Décal’Quai brings together shared workshops by day and a cultural venue by night. Around fifteen creative people are based there permanently — architects, designers, musicians, photographers, tattooists, film-makers, graphic designers — and the place describes itself as a project incubator and a catalyst for ideas. It hosts intimate concerts, but also theatre, screenings, makers’ markets, exhibitions and parties. The street-art trail that bears its name has spread through the district: one mural there pays tribute to B.B. King.
